Full Job Description
Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is currently seeking a passionate and innovative Lecturer in GCSE English to join our dedicated team. We are recruiting for one full-time position (37 hours per week) and one part-time position (29.6 hours per week). This is an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of learners while contributing to a vibrant academic community.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
As a Lecturer in English, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality teaching and support to our students. Your main duties will involve:
Delivering and managing inclusive and engaging teaching, learning, and assessment in GCSE English.
Assisting in curriculum design, development, and continuous quality improvement.
Supporting student recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression through targeted guidance and developmental support.
Using a blend of digital and in-person teaching tools (e.g., VLE, progress tracking systems) to enhance student outcomes.
Contributing to the academic community through professional development, scholarship, and collaborative practice.
