Multi - Trade Operative
Leeds
£34,376 - £36,185 per year
40 hours per week - Monday to Friday - 8:00am to 4:30pm
We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our Leeds Voids Team. With a mix of skills and qualifications, the role will involve working on repairs for void properties bringing recently vacated properties back to a lettable standard in a timely manner to allow them to be offered to new customers. Providing support to Day to Day (DTD) and planned teams when needed. The role is mainly lone working with opportunities to work with the wider team when required. Out of Hours cover is a requirement of the role on a rota basis. With a company van and tools included the role will cover Leeds and surrounding area.
The role of Multi - Trade Operative will include:
-Carrying out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications
-Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocking these when needed
-Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
-Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer
Skills and experiences:
-To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical. If Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS)
-Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation
-Skills in at least one of the following disciplines - Joinery or Plumbing
-Ability to prioritise workloads, work to deadlines and plan ahead
-Previous experience working within Social Housing is desirable
-This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted.
