Full Job Description

An exceptional opportunity has arisen to provide technical expertise and leadership for the design, build, validation and start up of a purpose built Paediatric Cancer and ATMP aseptic facility due to open at St Thomas' Hospital in September 2026. Once the new unit is opened, the post holder will provide technical leadership to the new aseptic unit ensuring the unit they have brought into use provides a safe, efficient and compliant service., The post holder will be a key member of the Aseptic Phase 1 Project team working on the design, build, validation and start up of the new facility. Key areas of project responsibilities are: 1. Define and risk assess operational processes and document these in departmental SOPs 2. Recruitment and selection of operational team to work in the new aseptic unit 3. Provide training material and deliver training to meet the requirements of the operational unit 4. Work with EPIC and Primary Treatment Centre (PTC) staff to define the Epic requirements in terms of product builds, verifications and workflows and ensure these are appropriately documented 5. Work with the project team to document, review and schedule validation activities with specific focus on performance and process testing. To ensure there are sufficient resources, staff and materials, to undertake this testing. Post project Phase The post holder will act as technical team leader within aseptic services at Guy's & St Thomas' ensuring a high quality, effective and efficient aseptic services that meets the needs of patients and staff.
