Full Job Description
The Medical Electronics Department is responsible for the maintenance, repair and management of electronic, electrical and mechanical medical equipment for Yeovil District Hospital, Somerset NHS Foundation Trust and other Healthcare providers. The Medical Electronics Department is accredited ISO 9001:2015 and maintains the highest standards of quality and service to support delivery of Clinical Services and Patient Care. Working within this busy, well-respected team, this role is to to work closely with technical and admin staff to assist in the provision and support of the service. Based in the Medical Electronics laboratory on level 4 of the main Yeovil District Hospital building, the role involves: Ordering stock and spare parts and maintaining the department stock management system; carrying out basic administration tasks; carrying out basic team support tasks. Where appropriate all training will be provided through job training and the departmental induction process Simply Serve Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary company of Somerset Foundation Trust that has been set up by Yeovil Hospital to manage its non-clinical support services.Main duties of the job Running routine stock reports and raising purchase orders. Raising purchase orders for non-stock items as requested. Updating the stock management module on f2. Un packing, receiving and processing spare parts and materials. Maintaining the stores area in a clean and tidy condition. Communicate with suppliers with regard to parts queries. Arranging TNT & courier deliveries and collections. Packing and dispatching equipment. Delivery of and collection of equipment to areas. Updating device records on f2. Filing device records. Scanning and electronic filing of device records. Using other departmental manual and computerised record systems.. Asist with the filing of service and repair information. Collection of post. Assist with the maintenance of the department environment by removing cardboard waste, WEEE waste, batteries etc. Ensuring all work is carried out is of a high quality. Undertake training as required. Assisting with user training as required. Communicating effectively and courteously with colleagues, staff, external organisations and members of the public. Ensuring that all current Health & Safety standards are adhered to. Carry out any other duties that may be required.
