Find out more about what it's like working at Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency - Department for Transport Careers In this role you will manage a geographically diverse team, acting as a mentor and supporting their learning and development. You will lead and implement changes within your team and ensure concerns from customers and stakeholders are dealt with at the appropriate level in line with Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) expectations. You will be a vital member of the local network management team, advocating best practices and exploring cross-network opportunities. In this role you will be a Commercial Vehicle Enforcement specialist, undertaking a range of tasks related to your specialism, and providing on the ground intelligence and expertise. Your key duties and responsibilities will include:
• Delivering high performance by providing quality leadership, support and guidance, and fostering colleague engagement throughout a nationwide enforcement network.
• Coaching and managing the performance of all team members, ensuring they are trained, fully aware of required targets/ quality standards and kept informed of any changes.
• Ensuring all team members have a current personal development plan (PDP) to cater for personal development and succession planning, and coaching and supporting the team to overcome skills gaps.
• Taking ownership for embedding a culture of continuous professional development and sharing best practice across the wider enforcement community.
• Driving improvements to the performance and compliance of the team, recognising and rewarding performance and tackling issues promptly to enable better enforcement outcomes.
