Bus Seat Trimmer

Strip damaged or worn bus seat coverings in preparation for reupholstery.

-Create and cut accurate patterns for a wide range of bus seat models

-Fit and shape new foam inserts as needed to restore seat comfort and structure

-Sew and assemble seat covers using industrial sewing machines and appropriate materials

-Refit and secure newly trimmed seats into buses, ensuring durability and aesthetic quality

-Maintain a clean and organised workspace and adhere to safety standards

-Collaborate with workshop staff and supervisors to prioritize jobs and meet project deadlines

-Inspect finished work for quality and consistency, making adjustments

Working Shift: Monday to Friday, 07:30 - 15:30

Hourly pay-rate: £15.56

We're on the lookout for a skilled and detail-oriented Bus Seat Trimmer to join our team. If you take pride in your craftsmanship and have a keen eye for quality, this could be the perfect role for you. You'll play a hands-on part in keeping our fleet looking its best, working with a variety of materials and techniques to deliver top-notch results., Do you have proven experience as a vehicle trimmer, upholsterer, or similar role?

-Are you proficient in the use of industrial sewing machines and hand tools?

-Ability to work from templates, measurements, or existing seat covers to create patterns?

-Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks?

-Knowledge of materials used in vehicle upholstery (vinyl, leather, fabric, foam, etc.)?

Desirable:

-Experience working specifically on commercial vehicles or buses

-NVQ or equivalent in vehicle trimming or upholstery (not essential but advantageous)
