We have maintained an office in this location for many years, developing strong relationships with clients across the region, and working on a variety of local, regional and international projects. Manchester is a vibrant and dynamic city with a rich cultural heritage. As an Engineer or Senior Engineer, you will be responsible for the design delivery of significant and complex engineering projects. You will liaise with other team members across the project team and take ownership of project tasks. You will coordinate with other professionals, developing effective relationships, to stimulate future business growth. In this key and varied role, you can expect to:
- Take and develop briefs and deliver on projects from inception to completion.
- Take ownership and deliver small projects or the electrical discipline on significant or complex schemes.
- Develop and produce project-related calculations, designs, and documentation.
- Report to line manager on progress and deliverables.
- Communicate design information clearly and concisely to the appropriate audience.
- Effectively delegate, manage and check work undertaken by others.
- Take responsibility for design coordination with other disciplines and professionals.
- Report at design team meetings, client meetings, and project meetings.
To be successful in this role you'll need: - Proven experience working as an Electrical Engineer or in a closely related role, with a track record delivering on a variety of complex projects.
- Experience of modern technical delivery processes, and use of relevant software/tools such as BIM, Revit, Electrical OM, Dialux and Relux.
- Demonstrable experience working with clients/contractors / architects in a design-oriented / consultant role.
- Self-awareness, an open mind, and a spirit of generosity
- Experience in supporting others to develop knowledge, skills, and confidence.
