Full Job Description
Personal Assistant required for a 15-year-old boy with Downs Syndrome who is lively, energetic and can, on occasions, be strong willed. He has limited speech.
This young man enjoys playing with dinosaurs, going to the park, swimming and watching super hero films.
Living in the Indian Queens area.
The Personal Assistant will encourage him to access activities within his local community while supporting him with his independence and promoting good life and social skills.
9 hours available. Hours to be mutually arranged between family and personal assistant.
£12.60 per hour
Mileage - Business Class Insurance would be required.
Some knowledge or experience of working with young people with additional needs is essential.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family, and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All offers of employment will be subject to the successful candidate undertaking an enhanced DBS check, the administration process will be undertaken by Cornwall Council.
