Full Job Description

· Prepare, review, and submit accurate VAT and CIS returns in line with HMRC deadlines and guidance

· Complete VAT reconciliations, resolving discrepancies and ensuring accounts are accurate

· Manage annual income tax tasks including P11D and Class 1A submissions

· Support corporation tax processes through tax pack reviews and coordination with the Tax Capability Centre

· Prepare and review financial journals and contribute to monthly accounting processes

· Liaise with internal departments to resolve finance-related queries and issues

· Provide support during audits, ensuring compliance and transparent financial practices

· Assist with team leadership by supporting assistant accountants and covering for senior accountants when required

· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office in a professional environment, particularly within Excel

· Previous experience working in a finance team, supporting day-to-day financial activities

· Understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements

Desirable

· Knowledge of Income Tax and Corporation Tax, with previous experience in these areas
