What You'll Do

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Fabrication Welder
Apprentice to join our Engineering Team. This is an excellent
opportunity to develop a rewarding career within a modern agricultural
grain storage business while gaining nationally recognised
engineering qualifications.

Main Roles and Responsibilities:

Learn safe fabrication and welding techniques under supervision.
Manufacture, repair and modify steel components for plant and
equipment.
Assist with MIG and MMA welding on a variety of engineering
projects.
Support preventative maintenance programmes across the grain
storage facility.
Carry out equipment inspections and identify defects.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical information.
Learn to use fabrication equipment including:
o Pillar drills
o Bandsaws
o Grinders
o Hand tools
Assist with installation of new plant and machinery.
Maintain high housekeeping standards within the workshop.
Follow company health, safety and food safety procedures at all
times.
Work alongside the engineering team during planned maintenance and breakdowns.
Complete apprenticeship coursework and attend college/training
provider as required.

Training Outcome

Career progression opportunities on successful completion of the
apprenticeship, with the potential to progress into a permanent
Fabrication Welder/Engineer role.
