Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity for an apprentice Heavy Vehicle Technician. This is a three-year apprenticeship which will give you hands-on experience maintaining and repairing a wide range of vehicles, including waste collection and street cleansing vehicles, while working towards an industry-recognised Level 3 qualification.

What You'll Do

Working alongside our team of Heavy Vehicle Mechanics you will learn from your mentor how to carry out:

Maintenance and repair of waste collection, street cleansing and ancillary service vehicles and equipment to meet current legislation, health, and safety standards and DVSA standards
Receive hands-on training in mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems
Work on a diverse fleet of specialist vehicles
Learn from experienced HGV Mechanics in a modern workshop

Training Outcome

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there is the opportunity for a permanent role.
