Introduction

The Hairdressing Apprentice will become an integral part of the Fresh Lifestyle salon team while working towards their Level 2 Hair Professional qualification.

What You'll Do

Welcoming and gowning guests and offering refreshments.
Preparing guests and assisting stylists throughout appointments.
Shampooing, applying hair and scalp treatments and, as training progresses, applying toners under supervision.
Rough drying and developing practical styling skills.
Delivering Aveda rituals, including Sensory Journeys, hand massages and head, neck and shoulder rituals.
Cleaning and sanitising workstations, tools and equipment between guests.
Keeping the salon clean, organised and presentable throughout the day.
Managing laundry and maintaining a supply of clean towels and gowns.
Organising, cleaning and replenishing the dispensary and kitchen areas.
Attending in-house training and practising technical hairdressing skills as part of their ongoing development.

Working Arrangements

Working Week: Tuesday - Friday, 9:45am - 6:45pm or 11:15am - 8:15pm. Saturday - Sunday, 9:45am - 6:15pm. Shift pattern varies. Working Days: Tuesday - Sunday on a rota, including every Saturday and alternate Sundays, plus one day per week at college. Minimum 4 salon days per week.
