Salon Assistant Apprentice

Introduction

The Hairdressing Apprentice will become an integral part of the Fresh Lifestyle salon team while working towards their Level 2 Hair Professional qualification.

What You'll Do

• Welcoming and gowning guests and offering refreshments.
  Preparing guests and assisting stylists throughout appointments.
• Shampooing, applying hair and scalp treatments and, as training progresses, applying toners under supervision.
• Rough drying and developing practical styling skills.
• Delivering Aveda rituals, including Sensory Journeys, hand massages and head, neck and shoulder rituals.
• Cleaning and sanitising workstations, tools and equipment between guests.
• Keeping the salon clean, organised and presentable throughout the day.
• Managing laundry and maintaining a supply of clean towels and gowns.
• Organising, cleaning and replenishing the dispensary and kitchen areas.
• Attending in-house training and practising technical hairdressing skills as part of their ongoing development.

Working Arrangements

Working Week: Tuesday - Friday, 9:45am - 6:45pm or 11:15am - 8:15pm. Saturday - Sunday, 9:45am - 6:15pm. Shift pattern varies. Working Days: Tuesday - Sunday on a rota, including every Saturday and alternate Sundays, plus one day per week at college. Minimum 4 salon days per week.
