About the Role


Male Support Worker Location: Blackpool Pay: £14.50 per hour Hours: 08:00am - 08:00pm - You must be able to work 24 hours per week. We're looking for a flexible, compassionate person to join a friendly support team working with a gentleman who is living with an acquired brain injury following a road traffic accident.


About the Person Being Supported



  • Enjoys spending time at the pub, playing pool, and visiting the bookies

  • Likes a relaxed environment and good conversation

  • Smokes in the home (clean and well-kept environment)

  • Communicates clearly and appreciates respectful, supportive interaction

  • Values people who are down-to-earth, consistent, and respectful


Key Parts of the Role Include



  • Supporting mobility with patience and encouragement (uses a walker but is independently mobile)

  • Taking to social outings (pool, pub meals, bookmakers, etc.) - mileage reimbursed at 45p per mile

  • Companionship at home and during activities

  • Light support with daily living tasks

  • Promoting independence and choice


What We're Looking For



  • A confident driver with access to a car

  • Someone patient, steady, and reliable

  • Able to work flexibly across days and occasional sleep-ins

  • Experience is welcome but not essential - the right attitude matters most
