Summary
Are you passionate about helping people facing hardship? Do you have experience of working as an adviser or assessor within an advice or similar organisation, and knowledge of enquiry areas such as debt, housing and benefits?
Citizens Advice and Trussell have come together to deliver a free helpline service for people struggling to afford the basics. We are seeking two new team members to help us offer advice on maximising income and to address the underlying causes of hardship in the hope that this can reduce the need for foodbank support.
This role would suit someone who has good telephone skills and the ability to use sensitive listening and questioning to get to the root of the matter and empower clients to move forward in the most appropriate way.
If you have a desire to make a difference then this could be the opportunity for you!
We welcome applications from candidates who wish to work remotely (from within the UK), hybrid or from one of our office locations: Harrogate, Malton, Northallerton, Richmond, Scarborough or Selby.
Proud member of the Disability Confident employer scheme

About Disability Confident
A Disability Confident employer will generally offer an interview to any applicant that declares they have a disability and meets the minimum criteria for the job as defined by the employer. It is important to note that in certain recruitment situations such as high-volume, seasonal and high-peak times, the employer may wish to limit the overall numbers of interviews offered to both disabled people and non-disabled people.
