  • Experience of working with individuals (1-2-1) in different settings to help them achieve their goals.
  • Experience of working with a range of agencies and organisations to develop effective working relationships.
  • Experience in one or more of the following fields: homelessness, addiction, mental health, physical health, employment, social

  • Ability to manage a varied and complex workload effectively.
  • Ability to deal with and de-escalate difficult situations in a calm manner.
  • Personal resilience and flexible attitude in the face of difficulties.
  • You will need an enhanced level DBS check for this role.

Big Life is in the business of changing lives. We fight inequality by working with people and places to create opportunities and
  • inspire change. The Big Life group works to develop partnerships with communities, decision-makers, and services to widen opportunities, grow local assets and build resilience. Our services work with people on all areas of their life and help them with the things that matter most to them, working with them to remove all the obstacles to changing their life for the better. We help people see the skills and support they already have so they can build on it. This is known as working in the Big Life Way [https://www.thebiglifegroup.com/our-story/the-big-life-way/].

  • A permanent, full-time contract (35 hours) with an annual salary of £23,194 (NJC 6).
  • 25 days holiday, and 30 once you've been here five years.
  • A relaxed culture where you are expected to plan your own day, take breaks when you need them and enjoy your work, with a
  • mixture of outdoor, mobile and lone work.
  • Ongoing personal and professional development through regular supervision and training.
  • A supportive, flexible approach to managing staff health and wellbeing, including a wide range of perks, schemes and support.
  • What next? If you're ready to make a difference and improve the lives of people facing a range of barriers and social issues including homelessness, then click apply and complete the short application process. Studies have shown that women and people of colour are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single qualification. We are dedicated to creating a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace and would especially like to hear from applicants from Black, Asian and other racially marginalised communities.
