Full Job Description

Personal Assistant to Academic Leaders Location: Haberdashers' Elstree Schools - Girls' School Hours: 8.00am - 5.00pm, term time only plus 6 weeks (incl. August exam results period). Required for Saturday open days. Reports to: Deputy Head, Academic At Haberdashers' Girls' School, we are proud to combine academic excellence with a deeply supportive and vibrant school community. We're now looking for an exceptional Personal Assistant to Academic Leaders-someone highly organised, calm under pressure, and proactive in their approach-to support the Deputy Head Academic and Assistant Head Academic. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity to be part of a team that shapes the academic life of our students. As a trusted point of contact and right-hand support to our academic leaders, you'll be at the centre of our school's day-to-day operations and long-term academic planning. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing complex diaries, emails, and communications
  • Coordinating academic events (Parents' Evenings, Exam Results Days, etc.)
  • Supporting exam administration and academic record-keeping
  • Preparing documents, reports, and academic communications
  • Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Supporting Heads of Department and wider academic initiatives
  • We're looking for a confident communicator with excellent organisational skills, high attention to detail, and a calm, solutions-focused approach.
