What You'll Do

As a Laboratory Technician Apprentice, you will support scientific projects and laboratory operations while developing valuable technical skills in a cutting-edge science and engineering environment.

You will:

Assist with laboratory testing, scientific investigations and experiments
Prepare samples and support heat treatment processes
Carry out wet chemical activities, including paint manufacture
Learn specialist coating techniques used on industrial components
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments
Collect, analyse and record scientific data
Support stock control and laboratory organisation using 5S principles
Follow health and safety procedures at all times
Use software including Microsoft Office, LabView and scientific data analysis tools
Assist the technical team with research, development and customer projects
