What You'll Do

As a Laboratory Technician Apprentice, you will support scientific projects and laboratory operations while developing valuable technical skills in a cutting-edge science and engineering environment.

You will:

• Assist with laboratory testing, scientific investigations and experiments.
• Prepare samples and support heat treatment processes.
• Carry out wet chemical activities, including paint manufacture.
• Learn specialist coating techniques used on industrial components.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Collect, analyse and record scientific data.
• Support stock control and laboratory organisation using 5S principles.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Use software including Microsoft Office, LabView and scientific data analysis tools.
• Assist the technical team with research, development and customer projects.
