Volunteer Trustee

SMTT is a West Sussex based charity which provides grants for therapy to individuals - children, young people and adults - who have experienced early trauma. Following a one-year delivery review, The Trust is now looking to increase the numbers of and broaden the voices and experience of those who make up the Board of Trustees.

• Do you have an interest in supporting others to access healing through therapy?
• Do you have around 2 hours per month to commit to the running of SMTT?
• Can you sit on the Grants Panel, which meets every four months alongside working with other Trustees to develop and sustain the work of the Charity?
• Can you be available for Trustee meetings online every three months for around two hours, with the aim for a once a year in person meeting in West Sussex?
• Do you have financial skills and experience and/or an interest in figures?
• You do not have to be an accountant, but we are particularly looking to recruit a Trustee for the post of Treasurer within the Charity.
• Do you have experience of applying for funding for charities?
• Can you bring a living experience voice about mental health and trauma to the Trustees' conversations?
• Can you help us be more inclusive of the voices from underrepresented racial and cultural communities?
