Full Job Description
- Promoting volunteer opportunities through community networks, local organisations, events and online platforms
- Recruiting and onboarding volunteer hosts, including interviews, references, DBS checks and home assessments
- Assessing applicants' suitability and contributing to recruitment decisions
- Delivering training, supervision and ongoing support
- Building strong relationships with volunteers to support engagement and retention
- Developing partnerships with voluntary and statutory organisations
- Representing Nightstop at meetings and community events
- Maintaining accurate volunteer and guest records
- Supporting monitoring, reporting, data collection and financial administration
- Sharing learning and helping to develop best practice across the Nightstop network You will participate in an on-call rota and occasionally work outside normal office hours, including evenings and weekends.
- An understanding of homelessness and the challenges people experiencing it may face
- Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
- Confidence engaging communities, stakeholders and prospective volunteers
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities
- The ability to manage competing priorities and changing demands
- Experience working collaboratively with internal and external partners
- Confidence using databases, Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
- The ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries
- A commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion
