Full Job Description

We design, deliver, and support market-leading buses and coaches that help reduce emissions, improve air quality, and keep communities connected. Every role contributes to that mission whether you're engineering, driving sales, improving production, or supporting our customers. What You'll Do As a Vehicle Builder, you'll be responsible for fitting and assembling components to bus and coach body structures in line with design and customer specifications. Working within the Scarborough production facility, you'll ensure vehicles are built safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You'll work both independently and as part of a close-knit production team, collaborating with Team Leaders, Engineering, Quality and fellow colleagues to deliver vehicles on time and to specification.

We're looking for practical, hands-on individuals who take pride in quality workmanship and safe working practices. You'll have experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment and be confident using a range of hand and power tools. You'll be comfortable working from instructions, specifications and engineering drawings, able to manage your own tasks with minimum supervision, and committed to maintaining a safe, tidy working environment at all times.

Bonus if you have:

  • A time-served apprenticeship in vehicle assembly
  • A certificate of apprenticeship in a craft or allied trade
  • A minimum NVQ Level 2 in a relevant craft or engineering discipline
