Technical Services Quality Systems Technician

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented technician to join the Chemotherapy Preparation and Dispensing Unit within a large and evolving aseptic services department. You will play a vital role in supporting the quality assurance of medicines preparation activities, helping to ensure services are safe, compliant, and responsive to the needs of patients across our Trust.

Working as part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, you will contribute to the maintenance and development of robust quality systems, support audit and governance processes, and drive continuous improvement across aseptic services. This role offers the chance to develop specialist expertise in GMP, quality systems, and regulatory compliance within a dynamic and expanding technical services environment., To support the Technical Services Quality Systems team in maintaining and improving quality assurance processes for aseptic preparation, ensuring services remain safe, compliant, and efficient. To contribute to the management of quality systems by assisting with documentation, including SOPs, change controls, deviations, risk assessments, and audit records in line with GMP and QAAPS standards. To support audit and inspection readiness by participating in internal audits, assisting with external reviews, and contributing to the investigation and resolution of quality issues. To liaise with stakeholders to support quality activities, including equipment validation, environmental monitoring, and the safe release of unlicensed medicines within technical services.

Guy's and St Thomas' Pharmacy Technical Services is one of the largest NHS pharmacy technical departments in the country and employs over 120 staff across multiple manufacturing and preparation areas. This role is specific to the Section 10 preparation services within the Trust.

The Pharmacy Chemotherapy Preparation Unit is a multicultural, friendly and very hard working team of over 35 staff. We prepare and dispense over 3900 units of chemotherapy doses per month.
