Full Job Description

  • Play a key role in supporting the team through the full lifecycle of matters, from file opening through to completion and closure.
  • Produce, format and amend a wide range of legal documents, ensuring accuracy and consistency with Birketts' house style.
  • Manage client onboarding and compliance processes, including new client and matter set-up, anti-money laundering documentation and other key administrative procedures.
  • Act as a first point of contact for internal and external enquiries, providing a professional and responsive service.
  • Coordinate diaries, schedule meetings and arrange travel, helping fee earners manage their time effectively.

The team place particular priority on continuity and fostering close long-term relationships with contacts and clients in order to provide practical advice and personal solutions.
