Work Summary
If you're looking for a challenging and rewarding role as the next step in your career, we have a fantastic opportunity within our Private Wealth department in either Newcastle or Bristol. Working as part of our Tax & Trust Accounting team as a Tax and Trust Associate, you'll take responsibility for the preparation of tax returns for our private clients and WBD Partners.
This role falls under our hybrid working policy. Most full-time employees typically spend around 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home — however, we operate a flexible approach in practice. We're very open to hearing from candidates looking for part-time working hours and are open to discussions around what that looks like for you.
The Team
Our Private Wealth team is a collaboration of lawyers, accountants, financial advisors, and tax specialists. Their expertise is highly regarded and ensures that our clients' wealth is protected, now and for future generations. For law firms, this is a unique setup which allows us to offer our clients the very best full-service advice possible.
Our firm is built on the principle that everyone is important and needs to make a contribution to our collective success. The Tax and Trust Accounts team is made up of dedicated professionals working together to achieve great results. Many of the team members stay with us long-term, becoming an integral part of our clients' success stories.
The Role
You'll be responsible for preparing tax returns for our private clients and the WBD Partners, and arranging payments of tax liabilities, working with external and internal contacts on the delivery of that work, under the supervision of managers. You will ensure compliance with all relevant tax law and provide ad hoc advice on personal tax-related queries throughout the year.
This is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in varied and engaging work, where you'll take on significant responsibility. You'll be part of a supportive team that values collaboration and mutual growth. There is opportunity to progress within a very clear but flexible career structure.
