A good standard of education demonstrating clear communication and the ability to work accurately with numerical information. Willingness to undertake training and ongoing development necessary to fulfil the responsibilities of the post and support service delivery. A fair, honest and consistent in approach and an ability to ensure all staff and patients are treated with respect, equity and transparency. Diplomacy, selfmotivation and enthusiasm, with a consistently professional attitude, demonstrating appropriate behaviour and effective communication skills when dealing with staff, patients and the public. An ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with patients, visitors and colleagues demonstrating empathy and an understanding of confidentiality and diverse needs. A commitment to being a strong team player with a flexible approach to support service delivery and team objectives. Basic computer literacy and keyboard skills, with a willingness to develop IT skills and adapt to new systems and processes in line with service requirements. It is desirable that applicants have an understanding of any Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (LTHT) policies relevant to the role. It is desirable that applicants have experience of using the Trust's Patient Administration System, but training will be provided as required.
