Stock Control Assistant

The Stock Control team within the procurement department are the face of procurement within the hospital, liaising with and assisting ward managers and staff on a daily basis.Delivering excellent customer service and always striving to find new ways to improve and enhance the service provided. We are looking for a motivatedStock Control Assistantto join our team, ensuring that our wards and departments are perfectly stocked, allowing medical teams to focus on what matters most: the patients. Development: Training provided on systems like [e.g., NHS SC/Oracle/Inventory Management Systems]. Daily Replenishment: Conducting regular top-ups of ward and department storage areas agreeing stock levels using barcode scanning technology. Inventory Control: Managing stock rotation to ensure compliance with expiry dates. Stakeholder Engagement: Liaising with ward staff to review stock usage and optimise inventory levels. Data Accuracy: Processing requests on our inventory systems to maintain accurate inventory records. Problem solving: Dealing with logistical issues and finding the best solution; liaising with Supply Chain or the suppliers themselves to ensure a solution is found for all parties involved, For further information and full details of the job role please see the attached job description and person specification.
