The Stock Control team within the procurement department are the face of procurement within the hospital, liaising with and assisting ward managers and staff on a daily basis.Delivering excellent customer service and always striving to find new ways to improve and enhance the service provided. What We Are Looking For: Organised: Ability to follow operating procedures and manage your own workload. Physically Able: The role involves manual handling, cages, and walking between departments. Technically Minded: Experience with IT systems, hand-held scanners, or stock management systems is desirable (but not essential). Team Player: Positive, proactive, and "can-do" attitude. Apply Now:Don't miss this opportunity to start a rewarding career! 37.5 hours per week Mon-Thurs 9:00am - 5:00pm, Fri 8:30am - 4:30pm (With 1/2 hour lunch) Main duties of the job To work within the Stock Control team providing a high-quality professional stock management service to Airedale NHS Foundation Trust and Bradford District NHS Foundation Care Trust. We are looking for a motivatedStock Control Assistantto join our team, ensuring that our wards and departments are perfectly stocked, allowing medical teams to focus on what matters most: the patients. Why Join Us? Job Stability: Permanent contract in a secure environment. Meaningful Work: Directly impact patient care by ensuring essential clinical supplies are available. Development: Training provided on systems like [e.g., NHS SC/Oracle/Inventory Management Systems]. Daily Replenishment: Conducting regular top-ups of ward and department storage areas agreeing stock levels using barcode scanning technology. Inventory Control: Managing stock rotation to ensure compliance with expiry dates. Stakeholder Engagement: Liaising with ward staff to review stock usage and optimise inventory levels. Data Accuracy: Processing requests on our inventory systems to maintain accurate inventory records. Problem solving: Dealing with logistical issues and finding the best solution; liaising with Supply Chain or the suppliers themselves to ensure a solution is found for all parties involved, For further information and full details of the job role please see the attached job description and person specification. - A good level of general education (i.e. English and Maths GCSE) Desirable
