Sr. Proposal Manager - United Kingdom, UKGI Strategic Pursuits

Would you like to be part of a team focused on increasing awareness and adoption of Amazon Web Services (AWS) by engaging with UK Healthcare and Life Sciences customers as they reinvent their IT strategy with cloud computing? Do you have the writing and story-telling skills, public sector proposal experience, and the technical background necessary to help further establish and differentiate AWS as the leading cloud provider? As part of the Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS) Strategic Pursuits team at AWS, this position will lead our efforts to deliver game-changing solutions across Healthcare & Life Sciences. You will be challenged to be creative, think big, and educate our customers on how they can use the AWS Cloud to address their requirements. Responsibilities include working with members of AWS WWPS Strategic Pursuits, technical, and account teams to develop winning and innovative proposals in response to must-win Requests for Tenders and other procurement processes; managing oral presentations and demonstrations; supporting escalations and briefings; managing and conducting team reviews; and generating unsolicited documents and whitepapers. You possess demonstrated public sector proposal management and proposal writing experience; are motivated by driving teams towards defined, and often tight customer-driven timelines; and have the proposal process development and leadership background necessary to effectively support a dynamic and rapidly growing business. You should have industry background that enables you to develop win themes and technical discriminators for inclusion into proposals, a contracts background that enables you to easily interact with legal teams, as well as a technical background or familiarity that enables you to easily interact with technical and business leaders. You muct also be able to think strategically about AWS's mission, products, and technical challenges, with the demonstrated ability to build and convey compelling value propositions in a written context. You should be familiar with the necessary procurement frameworks and guidelines, and experienced with tender compliance requirements. Key job responsibilities Roles & Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary interface for RFx response efforts, leading proposal responses on complex, strategic opportunities, and supporting partners on indirect deals.
• Understand and navigate the contracting vehicles and tender procedures relevant to UK Healthcare & Life Sciences.
• Execute RFx proposal response plans while collaborating with key internal stakeholders (e.g. capture, sales, service teams, security, legal, and compliance).
• Develop win themes and technical discriminators specific to RFx opportunities.
• Validate RFx response requirements and ensure proposal compliance.
• Hold kick-off discussions/meetings for critical proposal efforts to discuss overall messaging, flow, and common themes, and conduct regular check-ins with authors of critical sections.
• Lead content development and reviews with teammates.
• Be a thought leader with respect to proposal responses, win themes, technical discriminators, and pricing.
  
  Bachelor's degree
• Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
• Experience in Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting
• Experience explaining complex technical concepts to various business and technical audiences
• Experience solving problems with technology in the Healthcare/Life Sciences Industry
• Experience presenting to both technical and non-technical executive audiences

• Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
• Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
• Experience in developing, negotiating and executing business agreements
• Experience influencing internal and external stakeholders
