Full Job Description

The EU XCM Media Team (Cross-Category, Cross-Channel, Cross-Country Marketing) is looking for a Senior Media Manager, on a fixed term contract (Maternity Cover), with extensive cross-channel planning experience and with particular knowledge of pan-European media landscapes. The successful candidate will: Develop the media strategy for cross-country activities across a diverse set of countries such as UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain and others. Own the detailed media planning of their campaigns, working with our agency partners. Partner with key stakeholders across the business in Europe. We are looking for someone who is highly organized and comfortable working in a fast-moving, dynamic environment. Strong candidates must have the ability to work autonomously, have excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to influence others. This role works closely with our Portfolio and Retail teams to translate business briefs into best-in-class media plans for multiple countries. This role can be based at our Amazon corporate office in London/UK, or Munich/DE.,

  • Manage multi-channel media strategies and media plans (LTV, Digital, Paid Social, Radio, OOH, Print, Cinema), across a range of business and product categories.
  • Work with Media, Portfolio and Insights teams to define and run country specific or pan-EU media measurement test and projects.
  • Develop and present recommendations, evaluations, and media analyses to relevant stakeholders.
  • Build trustworthy relationships with internal business teams, agency partners, key media vendors, and finance teams.
  • Partner with our external media agency, across Europe, aligning media strategy and planning.
  • Write and present high-quality written documents to senior leadership inside the company.

    8+ years relevant professional experience in media planning.
  • - Pan-EU experience in media strategy. - Demonstrated ability to coordinate projects across functional teams (e.g. Measurement, Media, Portfolio) and external partners (e.g. Media Agency). - Strong quantitative and analytical skills including working with budgets and numbers. - Highly detail-oriented, have excellent organizational skills, and ability to multi-task. - Self-motivation, flexibility and an impeccable attention to detail. - Intense bias for action in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environment. - Advanced proficiency in Excel and Word. - English language skills required (business fluent). - Outstanding oral, written, and presentation skills. - Bachelor's degree or equivalent., Media agency experience or in-house agency experience (strategy and planning). - Knowledge of either retail, FMCG or entertainment categories. - Experience of media planning in multiple EU countries such as Germany, Netherlands, Sweden, Poland, Italy or Spain.
