Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer

Design, management and delivery of desk studies, site investigations, risk assessments, and remediation strategies.

Undertake occasional supervision of ground investigations, earthworks and remediation

Prepare and check high-quality technical reports and ensure regulatory compliance.

Provide sound technical input and advice on contaminated land, waste, materials management, groundwater, and ground gas risk assessments.

Provide sound technical input and advice on geotechnical engineering matters including preliminary foundation optioneering, design calculations, earthworks and mining risk assessment, investigation and treatment.

Check/ approve laboratory scheduling.

BSc/MSc in Environmental Science, Geology, Earth Sciences, Geotechnical Engineering, or related discipline.

Typically 5-10 years' experience in geo-environmental consultancy.

Strong technical knowledge of UK contaminated land legislation and risk assessment frameworks (e.g. LCRM, BS10175, BS5930, CL:AIRE Definition of Waste Industry Code of Practice, Eurocode 7/ BS8004, NHBC Standards).

Ability to manage and lead projects, with strong commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets and contribute to financial reporting.

Excellent communication and report writing skills.

Working towards or holding Chartered status (CGeol, CEnv, CSci) desirable.

Fluency with Microsoft Office; GIS/CAD knowledge desirable.

Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel/ stay away overnight on occasion.
