SEN Teaching Assistant

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with our dedicated team to support children with SEN, helping them access learning and achieve their individual targets. You'll plan and deliver tailored activities for individuals and small groups, under the guidance of teaching staff, and play a vital role in promoting inclusion across our school.

You'll need experience working with children with autism and ideally hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or be working towards it). Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to adapt learning activities are essential. Above all, you'll share our commitment to safeguarding and to creating a positive, respectful environment where every child feels valued.

Thomas Deacon Education Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The Academy will require the successful candidate to provide satisfactory references and undertake an Enhanced Check with the Disclosure and Barring Service.

Hours: 32.5 hours, 39 weeks (term time plus one week)

Working pattern: 8.30am - 3.30pm, Monday to Friday

Salary: Pathway 3, £20,500 - £21,861 per annum (FTE £27,254 - £29,064) plus an additional allowance of £1,331

Site: Welbourne Primary Academy
