Full Job Description
Key duties include working within Electronic Patient Records (e.g. SystmOne), using microsoft office products such as word and outlook. Training will be given if you are new to using SystmOne. Creating and sending out letters from the clinicians to other services such as referrals to other hospital trusts, or to GPs, answering any telephone queries or taking messages for the clinical team, contacting parents/carers to make appointments and general administrative work.
We are seeking to recruit a candidate with secretarial skills and the ability to work autonomously in prioritising and organising a busy workload. The successful candidates will be fully computer literate in Microsoft Office with a high level of written and verbal communication skills. A Typing/Word Processing qualification to RSA III or equivalent is essential.
The successful, candidate will provide a full administrative and secretarial support to the paediatric audiology team. Key duties will include working within Electronic Patient Records (e.g. SystmOne and CareFlow), producing documents using Microsoft Office software packages, undertaking audio-typing duties, arranging meetings for service managers, arranging appointments and sending outcome letters generated from the clinical staff, servicing meetings including minute taking, and carrying out general clerical duties such as filing and photocopying.
Whilst ensuring confidentiality at all times, the successful candidate will have the ability to work without direct supervision, communicate effectively, work as part of a team, use initiative and prioritise their workload in order to meet deadlines, maintain and record accurate details and have good organisational skills.
