As a School Governor, you will work with school leaders and fellow governors to provide support, challenge and strategic oversight, helping schools to deliver the highest standards of education and care. Governors play a vital role in focusing on key areas including:

  • Children and wellbeing
  • Curriculum and quality of education
  • Community engagement
  • School culture and values

    A passion for improving opportunities for young people
  • Strategic thinking and sound judgement
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to attend meetings and engage with the school
  • Integrity, curiosity and a willingness to learn
