Research Assistant in Knowledge Management for Newborn Care Implementation

Are you passionate about transforming evidence into action to improve newborn survival? The Newborn Health team at LSHTM is seeking a Research Assistant in Knowledge Management to support the Newborn Toolkit (www.newborntoolkit.org), a global public good co-created by NEST360 and UNICEF to support effective newborn care in low-resource settings and end preventable newborn deaths.
Working with an international network of partners, you will develop and curate technical content, synthesise implementation learning, support multilingual communities of practice, and deliver engaging digital resources and webinars.

The post-holder must have a degree in public health, nursing, medicine or a related field, with clinical or programme experience in maternal, newborn and child health. You will have excellent writing and communication skills, experience in knowledge dissemination and stakeholder engagement, and the ability to translate complex scientific information for diverse global audiences. French or Portuguese language skills and global newborn health experience are desirable. Please see the Job Description for further details.
The post is full-time 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE and fixed-term for 12 months. The post is funded by a consortium of private foundations including Gates Foundation and the ELMA Foundation and the prime grant holder is Rice360. The post is available immediately.

The salary will be on the LSHTM salary scale, Grade 5 in the range £39,984 - £45,728 per annum pro rata (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary "Wellbeing Days". Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
