Regional Healthcare Manager

This senior, field-based, customer-facing role drives market access and market shaping for an inline asset and a strong pipeline of launches. You will orchestrate complex, cross-stakeholder programs that translate national guidance into local adoption, reduce time-to-access, and enable more patients to benefit sooner.

You will operate as a strategic partner to priority customers across the region, leading without formal authority, and working closely with cross-functional colleagues to deliver rapid formulary alignment, pathway updates and joint working that supports sustainable, population-level impact.

Accountabilities:

- Market Access Delivery: Secure and accelerate formulary inclusion and guideline alignment in line with national approvals; remove local barriers to access and shorten time from guidance to use.

- Market Shaping: Shape care pathways and commissioning approaches across systems; design and deliver joint working that enables more patients to be managed and treated across settings.

- Strategic Customer Leadership: Map, prioritize and lead engagement with ICB decision-makers, including medicines management, strategic commissioning, finance leads, long-term conditions leads and health innovation networks.

- Launch Readiness: Build pre-launch momentum with clear plans, milestones and stakeholder commitment so new indications and assets can be adopted quickly and compliantly from day one.

- Cross-Functional Influence: Act as a regional leader without line management, aligning sales, medical and marketing around system goals; coach others on access strategy and raise the standard of execution.

- Outcomes and Insight: Set measurable access objectives, track progress at market level and course-correct using data; share insights that shape regional strategy and national best practice.

- Governance and Compliance: Uphold ABPI and local governance requirements; maintain appropriate separation from promotional activity while advancing population health objectives.

- Territory Execution: Cover the whole of London and the East of England with effective territory planning, stakeholder mapping and time management that maximizes impact.

Proven experience operating at ICB/system level in the UK, not solely hospital/trust experience.

- Demonstrated success engaging medicines management, strategic commissioning and health innovation networks to deliver access outcomes.

- Track record of market access and market shaping, including influencing formulary decisions, pathway updates and system-wide adoption.

- Evidence of designing and delivering joint working or similar multi-stakeholder projects that improve patient access.

- Relevant UK experience in pharmaceuticals or medical devices in strategic, system-facing roles.

- Strong stakeholder management with the ability to influence senior decision-makers and build trust in hard-to-access environments.

- Commercial acumen focused on market-level outcomes and growth, with clear measurement of impact beyond direct selling.

- ABPI qualification required for pharma backgrounds; candidates from medical devices considered where ABPI is not required.

- Based in, or able to effectively cover, London and the East of England, with willingness to travel across the region.

Desirable Skills/Experience:

- Experience preparing for and executing launches, including alignment to national guidance and local governance.

- Familiarity with NICE processes, regional formulary committees and ICB financial drivers.

- Proven leadership without authority within cross-functional teams, including coaching and capability building.

- Success delivering system change across both primary and secondary care settings.

- Therapy area experience is welcome but not essential; the ability to learn and lead in new disease areas quickly is key.
