Main duties of the job

Receipt and distribution roles involve managing the end-to-end flow of goods, including receiving deliveries, verifying accuracy, storing items, and distributing them to departments. These roles require inventory tracking using IT systems, manual handling for unpacking/moving, and, in a healthcare settings, ensuring compliance with safety standards.

The postholder will

o The role requires compliance with the Company's Manual Handling Policy and relevant health and safety legislation. Duties include lifting and moving materials, equipment, or stock weighing up to 15 kg on a regular basis. Manual handling tasks must be carried out using approved safe working practices and mechanical aids where provided.o Assisting in the provision of a high quality, efficient and cost-effective procurement function that meets the requirements of the Royal Surrey Foundation Trust's overall strategic direction and corporate objectives.o To contribute to the delivery of the Supply Chain and Logistics function at Royal Surrey Foundation hospitals as follows:o Receive deliveries from suppliers; to check deliveries against the purchase order details, sign for and receipt goods on the system.o Ensure non-stock deliveries are placed in a designated area ready for Receipts and Distribution team to deliver.
