Full Job Description
This is a new role within the Diocese of London, supporting the Head of Racial Justice Priority in delivering the Diocese's Racial Justice strategy. As part of the wider racial justice team, you will contribute to a range of activities including training, audits, data collection, engagement and governance processes. The role requires strong administrative skills and a working awareness of racial justice issues. You will support the coordination and delivery of programmes, working closely with colleagues across the Diocese to ensure activities are organised, accessible and delivered effectively. The Racial Justice Officer provides administrative and programme support to the Racial Justice team, helping to deliver key initiatives and priorities. Working with a range of stakeholders including clergy, diocesan teams and external partners, the role supports the smooth coordination and delivery of activities across the Diocese.
- Coordinate logistics and provide support for racial justice training programmes, including preparing materials and managing attendance
- Support audits, data collection and reporting to monitor progress and inform decision-making
- Provide administrative support to governance groups, including scheduling meetings, preparing documentation and tracking actions
- Assist with engagement and communication activities such as newsletters, events and case studies
- Maintain accurate records and effective administrative systems to support programme delivery
- Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Strong administrative and organisational skills, with experience supporting projects or programmes - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with people from a wide range of backgrounds
- Empathy with the mission and values of the Church of England
- Right to work in the UK
- The person will not require a DBS check
