Full Job Description

1. To provide assessment and provision of high quality low intensity interventions, e.g. psychoeducation groups and workshops, guided self-help, computerised CBT, pharmacological psychoeducation, drawing form CBT theories and techniques. This work may be face to face, via telephone / web and / or in group format.
2. Attend and fulfil the requirements of the NHS Talking Therapies approved supervision training where appropriate.
3. Provide case management and clinical supervision to Low intensity workers and Low intensity trainees in TTS.
4. Identify training needs across the step 2 team and develop routes for CPD in co-ordination with Step 2 Lead and other SLAM IAPT sites.
5. Offer training to Step 2 clinical staff and Primary Care staff in CBT based interventions.
6. Attend locally organised and national training appropriate to the work role., This is a great opportunity for an experienced PWP to further develop the low intensity service provision within NHS Talking Therapies in Southwark and to support the senior management team in expanding the step 2 offer in the service. The successful applicant will be proficient in the delivery of telephone triage assessments and CBT-based guided self-help interventions, and have experience of working with common mental health problems within primary care. The post holder will also have opportunities to co-run groups and workshops with other PWPs or High-Intensity Therapists and experience and skills in this would be very beneficial. This is also an opportunity to develop supervisory skills and gain experience in supervising step 2 clinicians.
