Full Job Description
Please note this position is to cover a maternity leave for the primary post-holder (c. 12 months) and is open for applications from internal UCL staff only. As Senior Philanthropy Manager (EMEA) you will manage a portfolio of donors and prospects with the aim of raising philanthropic income at the six-figure and seven-figure level from a variety of income streams to support Advancement activity. This role will focus on donors and prospects in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA), primarily Europe and the Middle East. We are happy to consider applications to work on a part-time/flexible basis wherever possible (minimum 0.8 FTE - equivalent of 4 days per week, stated salary to be pro-rata). This role is eligible for hybrid working with a minimum of 20% on site.
You are a skilled relationship builder and exceptional income generator with a history of securing six- and seven-figure gifts from high-net-worth individuals, philanthropists, trusts, foundations, corporations and other major funding partners. You excel at managing complex, high-value portfolios, balancing multiple stakeholder relationships while identifying opportunities to deepen engagement and maximise support. You understand how to navigate large organisations, influence decision-makers and develop compelling propositions that inspire significant investment. Results matter to you. You have consistently delivered against ambitious fundraising targets and KPIs, combining commercial acumen, strategic insight and outstanding interpersonal skills to achieve sustainable growth. International fundraising experience and an understanding of global donor markets would be highly valued.
