Full Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible difference by connecting communities with learning, skills development and opportunities for personal growth. Working closely with the Head of School: Community Learning, you will play a key role in developing and delivering outreach initiatives, building strategic partnerships and raising awareness of the College's community provision. You will work proactively with community groups, faith organisations, Primary Care Networks and voluntary sector partners to strengthen referral pathways, encourage participation and ensure that community voices help shape our provision. Through your work, you will help the College build trusted relationships, respond to local needs and extend its positive impact across both boroughs. Key Responsibilities: Develop and strengthen partnerships: Build and maintain effective relationships with community organisations, faith groups, Primary Care Networks, voluntary sector partners and other key stakeholders. Expand our reach: Identify opportunities to engage individuals and communities who could benefit from Community Learning, particularly those who face barriers to accessing education. Drive outreach and engagement: Support the development and implementation of creative outreach initiatives that raise awareness of our courses and services and encourage learners to take their next step into education. Strengthen referral pathways: Work with partners to improve how prospective learners are identified, referred and connected with appropriate learning opportunities. Champion community voices: Gather insights from local communities and partners to help shape responsive, inclusive and relevant learning provision. Support strategic development: Work closely with the Head of School: Community Learning to develop partnerships and initiatives that align with the College's mission, priorities and objectives. About You You will be a confident and enthusiastic relationship-builder who enjoys working collaboratively, takes the initiative and is motivated by making a positive difference in people's lives. You will be comfortable engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, developing new opportunities and turning relationships into meaningful outcomes for local communities. If you are passionate about widening participation, strengthening community connections and helping more people benefit from lifelong learning, we would love to hear from you. Working arrangements: The post is based at Stockwell Centre, with work across the College's campuses. Occasional weekend working will be required, with time off in lieu provided.
