Multi-Skilled Maintenance Craftsperson (MSMC) Electrical

To participate in the provision of an Estates service primarily undertaking electrical repairs, planned maintenance, small works and minor improvements. It will be anticipated that some mechanical / building duties will be undertaken as training and experience is gained. Participation in the Trust's Estates tradesman on-call Rota to cover multiple sites is also required. A valid UK driving license is therefore essential., The main duties :

• Deliver day-to-day electrical maintenance: planned preventative maintenance (PPM), fault diagnosis and repairs, and installation/testing of new works.
• Carry out compliance testing and checks: portable appliance testing (PAT) and routine testing of essential systems (e.g., fire alarms, nurse call, generators), including interpreting/resetting BMS alarms.
• Follow Estates policies and safe systems of work: complete documentation, use PPE, work safely, and keep workshops/plant rooms safe and tidy.
• Support service delivery: record work on CAFM, liaise with wards/departments, supervise/oversee contractors and support/training of other staff.
• Provide flexible cover: assist other trades as trained, join emergency response/on-call rota, and undertake other reasonable Estates duties (including out-of-hours emergencies)., Working in the Estates Team is practical, fast-paced, and service-focused with your day is a mix of planned jobs (PPM/small works) and re-active call outs to keep buildings safe and operational, often across multiple sites.
• Work is Varied work(repairs, minor improvements, inspections/compliance checks ).
• A strong safety and procedures focused (risk, PPE, permits, documentation/CAFM).
• Regular contact with wards/departments and contractors, so good communication matters.
• On-call/unsociable hours at times, including emergency response .
• A team culture that relies on flexibility and supporting other team members in other trades when needed.
