Full Job Description

  • Support LV Design Engineers, under the guidance of Senior LV Design Engineers and LV Technical Manager in the following across a range of design and engineering activities.
  • Interpret client engineering drawings and specifications, converting the information into detailed Electrical Schematics, Panel Layouts and General Arrangement Drawings, ensuring the designs conforms to safety, quality, engineering standards and clients specifications.
  • Contribute to the design of hardware systems using components for LV Assemblies and primarily focused on ACBs, fuse switches, MCCBs, MCBs, fuses, control transformers and power suppliers, control relays and timers, VSDs, PLCs & ICA systems for control-gear and switchgear.
  • To complete test and inspection documentation, conformity certification including any other design documents that ensures all LV Assemblies are manufactured in accordance with BSEN 61439 requirements.
  • Adhere to ISO9001 design quality procedures throughout all design and documentation activities.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with client representatives, production teams and the wider design team.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and workshop personnel to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with customer expectations

    GCSE grade 4 or equivalent and above in Maths, English and Science
  • Desirable - A Levels or equivalent Level 3 qualification (e.g, BTEC, T-Level)
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A collaborative approach and a drive to make a difference
  • Willingness to travel with team to on occasions

We have the exciting opportunity for a Degree Apprentice LV (Low Voltage) Design Engineer to join BGEN's Technology Team in Penketh (Warrington).
