Full Job Description
The IOE Library is one of UCL's busiest libraries and is also home to one of Europe's largest and most significant collections on education and social research. The IOE Library Customer Services Team plays a pivotal role in creating a welcoming and safe environment, maintaining our world-class collections, and enabling seamless access to our services and collections. As part of a team, deliver an excellent, and friendly, service in a busy library. Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and welcoming space. Support cross-team working and take part in projects that support the IOE Library collections, space and services. This is an Internal recruitment advert, available to eligible UCL employees only. Eligible UCL workers will have until 5-10 days from internal advert published date) to be considered for this role. Manual handling and the ability to evacuate users via stairs is required to carry out this role. Training will be provided. This is an on-campus role. It is not suitable for regular remote working. This appointment is subject to UCL Terms and Conditions of Service for Research and Professional Services Staff. This role does not meet the eligibility requirements for a Skilled Worker Visa certificate of sponsorship under UK Visas and Immigration legislation. This is a part-time role (0.44FTE, 16 hours 6 minutes per week). The work pattern is Monday & Friday, 08:00-17:03. We are looking for candidates who in particular have the following experience and skills:
- Experience delivering a friendly and professional service to customers.
- Ability to handle enquiries, both face to face and online, referring more complex enquiries as appropriate.
- Ability to work within, and across, teams to meet agreed objectives. Ability to communicate effectively.

The salary for this post is £14,037 per annum including London Allowance.
