LEV Systems Designer

Delivering essential infrastructure services for life, while being safety first, and client and customer centric in a friendly, fun and respectful environment where you are encouraged to thrive., Design Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems in compliance with HSG258, COSHH, CDM and Safe by Design principles. Produce feasibility, preliminary and detailed engineering designs, including capture hoods, extraction arms, enclosures, ductwork, fans, filtration systems, dust collectors and discharge stacks. Perform airflow, velocity, duct sizing, pressure loss, fan duty and system balancing calculations to develop efficient and effective ventilation solutions. Prepare and manage technical documentation, including drawings, P&IDs, equipment schedules, specifications, risk assessments, calculation reports, commissioning records, O&M manuals and as-built documentation. Conduct site surveys, assess process hazards and verify existing systems to support design development. Participate in design reviews, HAZID and HAZOP workshops, ensuring hazards are identified and mitigated throughout the design

lifecycle. Provide technical support during installation, commissioning and handover, review test data and performance reports, respond to technical queries, and ensure all designs meet regulatory, safety and performance requirements.

Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering

- BOHS P601, P602, P603 and P604 qualifiactions

- 5 years plus LEV Design Experience

- Membership of BOHS, CIBSE or IMechE

- AUTO CAD

- Excel-based engineering calculations

- CFD Modeling Software
