Laboratory Technician Apprentice

Northern Skills are recruiting on behalf of Mastermelt Group for a hardworking, enthusiastic person to join their busy team as a Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship. The successful candidate will need a solid scientific foundation, who we can develop and shape around the needs of the business as they grow with us.

We recover precious metals from industrial waste streams, jewellery, manufacturing scrap and end of life products, thus playing a key role in the sustainable circular economy.

What You'll Do

• Chemical analysis and testing.

• Sample preparation.

• Quality control and assurance.

• Materials and metallurgical testing.

• Recording and interpreting laboratory results.

• Working to strict health, safety, and environmental procedures.

Training Outcome

• Depending on the circumstances of the business upon completion of the apprenticeship programme there could be a potential position of employment available.
