Full Job Description

  • Conducts prep work for all departmental assays as assigned
  • Maintenance, cleaning and calibration of equipment within all laboratory areas and maintains Storage units on accordance with GLPs SOPs and polices
  • Records equipment metrology as required.
  • Ensures that plentiful consumable items, media and stock chemical solutions are available in the laboratories as required
  • Jointly responsible for the removal of laboratory waste, disposal of expired solutions or materials
  • Washing, drying and sterilisation of laboratory glassware and consumables
  • Ability to safely handle chemicals and accurately record associated raw data
  • Preparation of simple solutions, buffers and Media's
  • Assists with the archiving of non-study data and equipment metrology records
  • With training mentoring of new hires with regulated laboratory practices, We are looking for a Laboratory Assistant who will do the preparation of simple solutions and equipment for the genetic toxicology team, providing complete documentary evidence of tasks performed in the laboratory.

    GCSEs of grades C/4 or above in Maths, English and Science, All tasks will be performed with minimal supervision on satisfactory completion of training
  • Ability to work flexibly including weekends; within a team and independently
  • Excellent attention to detail
