Support the design of some of the most important government buildings
Designing, constructing and maintaining secure government estates takes teams of experts, combining their diverse skills. Your organisational talent will be essential to ensuring all the finishing touches are in place. Placing and tracking orders for range of fabrics, furniture and accessories for a variety of buildings, you'll ensure they reach their destinations safely and on time. This will involve liaising with customers, suppliers and shippers to schedule deliveries and installations, often to overseas locations.
In this vital procurement and logistics-focused role, you'll support the interior design team on projects from start to finish. Maintaining delivery calendars, whilst tracking shipments, produce status reports and resolve logistical issues like late deliveries and missing items, also responding to supplier queries and ensuring accurate order specifications and invoicing. Other responsibilities include supporting the interior design team with sample management and other aspects of design room maintenance.
Use your organisational skills to help protect the UK's global interests
Bringing superb organisational and time-management skills, your attention to detail should be just as strong as your ability to manage multiple tasks. With excellent communication skills, you can liaise and build productive working relationships with colleagues and suppliers. The ability to use MS Office - including Excel and Outlook - is essential too.
Experience in procurement, order processing or project administration is desirable, preferably gained in an interior design environment. Ideally, you'll also be familiar with project management tracking tools.
