Interim Accountant - Purchase to Pay Specialist

Our Client Our client is a large, well-established UK charity that provides financial and practical support to individuals and families in need. With a strong focus on good governance and financial control, the organisation operates a collaborative and professional finance function based in Central London.The RoleThis role plays a key part in maintaining robust Purchase-to-Pay processes and supporting the wider finance function:

• Ownership of the end-to-end Purchase-to-Pay and purchase order process
• Day-to-day use and support of a P2P system integrated with the accounting system
• Close working with budget holders and non-finance stakeholders
• Balance sheet reconciliations and core accounting support
Main DutiesWorking as part of a small, busy finance team, you will:
• Manage the full Purchase-to-Pay lifecycle from requisitions and purchase orders through to invoice processing and payment
• Ensure strong purchase order controls, compliance and accurate three-way matching
• Act as a key support contact for the P2P system, including user queries, approvals and troubleshooting
• Maintain accurate accounting records, journals, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support month-end, reporting and audit processes as required
  
  An interim accounting role with a strong focus on Purchase-to-Pay and purchase order processes within an established organisation.
• Suitable for an experienced, hands-on finance professional with deep P2P knowledge who does not need to be fully qualified., Proven, in-depth experience of Purchase-to-Pay systems and purchase order driven environments
• Comfortable working within an accounting system linked to P2P
• Part-qualified, qualified by experience, or from a strong operational accounting background
• Confident Excel user with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
