HEALTH PROTECTION PRACTITIONER
- PAY SCALE: Grade 10, SCP 26 - 28
- CONTRACT: Permanent 18 hours per week
- TYPE
- LOCATION: Guildhall, Frankwell Quay, SY3 8HQ; Shrewsbury/ Hybrid

About the role
Shropshire Council is seeking a skilled and motivated Health Protection Practitioner to join our established and supportive Health Protection team.
You will play a key role in protecting and improving the health of the population of Shropshire, working across prevention, case management, incident and outbreak response. This is a varied and rewarding role, involving close partnership working with colleagues across the Council, NHS, UKHSA and other agencies.
You will bring relevant professional experience in health protection or a related field.
You will contribute to the delivery of statutory health protection duties, support health protection responses, and help shape resilient systems raising awareness, educating and supporting outreach to reduce health inequalities and protect vulnerable communities.
