Full Job Description

  • Lead the day-to-day operational coordination, quality assurance, and ongoing development of assigned HE programmes.
  • Manage the validation and re-validation of courses, ensuring alignment with QAA benchmarks and regulatory standards.
  • Deliver high-quality, engaging teaching and learning across undergraduate and postgraduate creative writing and literature modules.
  • Oversee student recruitment, applicant conversion, interviews, open days, and outreach activities for the curriculum area.

    Inspire the next generation of writers and academics while shaping a vibrant HE curriculum in English and Creative Writing!, We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced academic with a strong background in English Literature and Creative Writing, as well as proven higher education teaching experience (minimum qualification to teach required; a PhD or working towards one is required for MA module delivery).
  • You will possess excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills, with a track record of inspiring students and driving academic quality. E-learning expertise, a commitment to ongoing professional development, and a passion for student success, equality, and safeguarding are essential.
